I was going to get to grips with applying for the subsidy I might get for insulating our roof when Apple's rock-bottom-worst product conked out again - the infernal power adapter needed to keep the MacBooks going. So I first spent an hour with cutter and soldering iron to get the worn-through lead accessible and cleaned and reattached and insulated and wrapped up again. I'll buy another one (the sixth I think) but at least I can keep going right now.
