We went to this fair at Tour & Taxis (Brussels' former goods rail & water terminal) where the tickets were pretty steep but the art was very good to see. We didn't buy anything though some beautiful items were indeed very nicely priced. Here's a random selection:
"Origine" by Julie Arnoux - a large print based on a photograph of cherry blossoms
"Quatro Piedras Medio" by Angelo Moyano which would wobble back and forth for a long time after a push.
"Pink Secret PF" by Joël Moens de Hase - one of several works where what appeared to be large pixels were in fact mosaics of tiny images:
"Lem GPS Fail" by Frédéric Biesmans
"The Great Below" by Sebastian Herzau
"Morning Mist" by Shuichi Nakano
"Ice Bear" in bronze by Nichola Theakston"Bastion 2 Large" by Anthony Theakston, also in bronze.
No title listed for this large work by Martin Copier, with whom we had a good talk about his work and career and way of working. Part of this work is actually a wood print, to which he added paint and iron filings to add layers of colour and texture.
