Where to Nest

The progress of Spring has birds starting to think about a nest. One or more coaltits have again been investigating the openings on both sides of the roller blinds in the living room side window.

Justabout visible, one coaltit has landed on one of the rubber stoppers that prevent the blind from disappearing inside to take a closer look at one of the openings.

Like many of its kind before, it has discovered the opening is not very large or easily accessible. So it's come down on the low railing just outside the window before taking off and looking elsewhere.
